9-8-2008: Saint Mary's of the Knobs

Went to Saint Mary's of the Knobs today in Floyd's Knobs, Indiana. It is an OLD Catholic community.

Found this guy trying to break into the church.

First things first: the money shot! Love this one, thinking of calling it Among the Stones.
















Bridge Detail on the path I've been walking in the mornings: 3 miles with 1 lb. weights in my hands.















Finally, I got that new self-portrait I've been wanting.

Forgot to get out yesterday and today I meant to try different things for a self portrait. I need a new one to go with the new and improved me. Besides, I'll be 50 in 12 days, so, time for another look at me.

9-2-08 Joe Creason Park

Shooting at Creason Park today. There was a restored old house on the property that I got some nice shots from. I'm much better at shooting things than at shooting plants. I have one decent flora shot out of I don't know how many, but my best shots were of man-made things.

Mount St. Francis 9-1-08

Sandie and I went to Mt. St. Francis to walk one of their hiking paths and take shots today.

I caught a dragonfly and discovered my little Kodak Easyshare can do bokeh!



The lovely little bridge looked out over the lake--I can't tell you how gorgeous the whole area was. Beautiful and natural with few imprints of man.



Finally, looking through the scope on the Smite-Gun(TM). Actually, another interesting shot using bokeh (I think) on the central image while having the background clear. Because of the nature of the foreground image it creates an interesting effect.



It was a lovely and enjoyable day.
